Filly being broken in

Post dated from May 17th

Brett has decided to send our filly, along with a few other of his yearlings to Capel trainer Robert Witten for the initial breaking in. Those who were present at the Ascot Bloodstock Open day can atest to the fact that Brett has a full stable at the moment. Brett thought it best to get them broken in now whilst this breaker was available. Brett has liased with this trainer before and assures me he will do a good job. Robert will have the horse for approximately 4 weeks before she comes up to Bretts and he does the last few weeks himself and makes sure she has broken in well.

Brett is currently renovating his stables and has more than half the job done. When finished he will have room for even more gallopers with new boxes still to be built in addittion to the 25 already available. Having seen many stables at Ascot I can safely say Bretts stable would rival any of his city counterparts when finished. His boxes are much larger and are nicely covered in shade whilst allowing for breeze to get thro. He is literally on the doorstep of Pinjarra racecourse and has access to a sandtrack, a 5 horse walker, a brand new treadmill which we saw in action and one of the best roundyard/lunging yards I have ever seen.
